Letty Lara Wins Miss World Belize Title

San Pedro has one more reason to celebrate and feel proud of as Letty Lara has captured the Miss World Belize title this past Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the pageant held in Corozal Town. She represented La Isla Bonita, San Pedro, as she competed against seven other contestants from around the country for the title of Miss World Belize and Miss Earth Belize. The biggest prize of the event is that Letty will now represent the country of Belize at the Miss World Pageant that will be held at Johanesburg, South Africa on December 12. Letty will now embark on her preparations and fundraising for her trip to Africa. Ambergris Today and all of San Pedro is proud of Letty Lara and promise to give her all of our support on her quest to represent Belize at the Miss World Pageant. More details on Thursday’s edition of Ambergris Today.

First of all congratulations to Letty Lara for capturing the crown of miss Belize with preparation and guidance she has lot´s of potential. I however have to say that it is an embarrassing moment to watch the delegates compete in well known dresses used by previous queens. If pageants Belize is under new management please show it.

I agree with the previous post...past pageants gowns being reused...tsk.tsk.tsk...tacky!
