Halloween Fun starts this weekend with two great parties:

Ambergris Caye Elementary School - Friday, Oct. 22

ACES Halloween Fair. Join ACES as they raise funds with lots of fun with games, prizes, food, costume contests, and a cash bar. Prizes will be given for the Most Original Costume, the Funniest Costume, the Scariest Costume, and the Cutest costume! See you there!

Baby Daniel Estel Sends Smiles to San Pedro

A very happy grandmother, Mel Spain sent over these pictures to Ambergris Today this morning as Baby Daniel is doing so much better after his transplant in Colombia, SA. Here he is smiling at the camera and showing signs of much improvement and well being. We wish Baby Daniel a speedy recovery.

 

Mel Spain - "He has an infection but he is getting over it. He is still in the ICU but that's the best place for him now. We had gotten a new bill for $60,000 but thank GOD for a foundation in New York that gave us $25,000. We need to come up with the balance. If anyone wants to help, they still can. We have gotten a lot of help from the people of San Pedro and I would really like to take this opportunity to say Many Thanks to everyone who has helped in any way."

Good News - Much Hope for Baby Daniel

This message came in during lunch to Ambergris Today!

"Within the next 24-hours, Baby Daniel will be flown to Columbia where his life-saving procedure will be performed!!! It is DIRECTLY because of the collective effort of every single person in this group, and the effort of all of the others who are not a part of this group that have worked so tirelessly to raise the funds needed for Daniel’s transplant.

The people of Belize pounding the pavement to collect money, the news organizations spreading the word, holding and supporting fundraisers, people tweeting and face-booking and talking about Daniel to everyone we met, soliciting donations, finding connections, following up on leads . . . all of this has paid off!

Baby Daniel is going to live a happy, healthy life! YOU were a part of making that happen, and we will be eternally grateful. Funds will still need to be raised for the follow-up care, but we’ve cleared the first hurdle! Please take a moment to celebrate yourself, and our magnificent accomplishment! A million thanks.
