Jamila Herrera Crowned Señorita Comunidad Salvadoreña

The Salvadoran Community of San Pedro has selected another queen to represent them for a second consecutive year. The pageant, which is not a convention beauty pageant, but a popularity contest in the form of a bazaar was held at the Rafael Angel Nuñez Auditorium on Saturday, July 17. At the end of the night's festivities Jamila Herrera won herself the title as the second Señorita Comunidad Salvadoreña. (More on Thursday's edition of Ambergris Today Newspaper)

Señorita Comunidad Salvadoreña Candidates at Hidden Treasure

The six candidates of the Señorita Comunidad Salvadoreña were treated for a very special dinner at Hidden Treasure Restaurant on Tuesday, July 13, as part of their participation in this year's event which will take place at the R. Angel Nuñez Auditorium on Saturday, July 17. The popularity pageant and festivities are organized to raise funds for a worthy cause.

Señorita Comunidad Salvadoreña

Contestants of the second annual Señorita Comunidad Salvadoreña visited the office of Ambergris Today to promote the pageant that will take place on Saturday, July 17 from 5pm to midnight a the R. Angel Nuñez Auditorium. The goal of the pageant is to raise both money and awareness regarding the need for the Salvadoran Community to continue its task of helping everyone in need, regardless of their nationality. Salvadoran Community Crowns Queen

The Salvadoran Community of San Pedro selected their representing queen, not in a convention beauty pageant, but through a popularity contest in the form of a bazaar. The event was held on Saturday, July 18, at the Rafael Angel Nuñez Auditorium where Jasmine Rodriguez was crowned as the Salvadoran Queen among the eight competing contestants. She was the recipient of the most votes (monetary contributions) that was raised through sponsorships, donations and fundraising at the bazaar. The pageant was a fundraiser aimed at raising money for the Salvadoran Community living in San Pedro. (More on Thursday’s edition of Ambergris Today)
