Raquel Badillo, Miss San Pedro ‘09

Raquel Badillo was elected Miss San Pedro 2009 on Saturday, September 5, 2009, after a magical night of Tropical Temptation where six contestants vied for the prestigious title; the show was pure magic from beginning to end. Taking second place was Yasmira Torres who also won Ambergris Today’s Miss San Pedro Internet, Miss Congeniality was awarded to Virgen Cornejo and Raquel also won Miss Photogenic. Liliana Arrives from Dominican Republic

A surprised but elated Liliana Nuñez arrived in San Pedro on Monday, May 25, after an exhilirating two weeks of pagentry at the Miss America Latina Pageant that took place at the Dominican Republic. Her family and friends were on hand to greet her as she stepped out of the plane that arrived in the afternoon. A bit taken back by all the attention, Liliana thanked everybody for all the support that they have shown her and said that she was glad to be back home.
