Valentino Caliz is Karaoke King 2010

He came back from elimination on week four, but Valentino Caliz came back as a wild card entry singing his heart out, pleasing the crowd and impressing the judges. Last night he took the title of Reef Radio’s newest Karaoke King.

But Valentino was not the only one that impressed. He had to contest against Javier Castillo and Julianni Ferguson who all tied for first place. All top three contestants had to sing one last song so the judges could decide on a winner.

Last night’s live broadcast witnessed a packed Jaguar’s Temple Night Club as San Pedro went out to cheer for their favorite karaoke singer. Coming in second place was Julianni Ferguson and Javier Castillo came in third. (More on Thursday’s edition of Ambergris Today)

Dorian's Angels Invade Reef Radio Karaoke

The Dorian's Angels were the special invited judges at last night Reef Radio's Karaoke that is now in week four of competitions. They added their special touch of spice to this week's competition as they took their own comment paddles to compliment the contestants, and of course their bubbling personalities.

It was another tough week of competition as the singers brought their "A Game" to Jaguar's Temple Night Club. Taking the top two spots of the night were Julianni Ferguson and Elizabeth Sulph who bested Valentino Caliz, Gladys Garcia, Elizabeth Hobart and Jorge Perdomo.

Reef Radio Team Wins 2010 Eco Challenge

It was an impressive start to the Lagoon Reef Eco Challenge 2010 as 35 teams entered this year’s race, now in its sixth year. The kick off was at 6a.m. on Saturday, April 24 and the final leg of the race ended at Central Park the next day Sunday, April 25. It was an all amateur race this year and taking the top prize was Reef Radio’s Ranza Boys. Here is a video and picture highlight of this year’s Lagoon Reef Eco Challenge. Makano in Concert, San Pedro

The Makano Concert was the talk of the town all weekend long as the Panamanian singer put on a great show on Saturday, September 19, 2009, to celebrate Reef Radio's 10th Anniversary. The concert was also in the schedule of the September Celebrations on Ambergris Caye. The Old Football Field, venue of the concert, was packed with young and old fans of Makano as everybody was up for some fun and celebrations. Even a short burst of rain could not get the singer to run off stage; he stuck with the crowd until the end. An excellent concert for a weekend filled with celebration.
