The Burning of Don Juan Carnaval

Don Juan Carnaval sat quietly on his chair outside of War Paint on Pescador Drive all day yesterday, probably not knowing what his fate would be at the end of the day. In the evening Don Juan was 'sacrificed to the Gods" - he was burnt down at the Old Football Field as tradition calls the island residents to do the day after the Carnaval Festivities conclude. As tradition holds, if Don Juan Carnaval is not burnt, ill fate and bad karma will fall on the town of San Pedro. On hand during the burning was Mayor Elsa Paz and Jennie Staines who conducted the ceremonial burning. Good bye Don Juan Carnaval, Good bye bad vibes!
