More Cenotes found after Last week's Quake

At least three more sinkholes have also been discovered in the neighboring town of Caye Caulker as Mr. Eloy Badillo tells Ambergris Today that residents discovered the sinkholes underwater just west of the split. According to Badillo, the sinkholes were discovered the day after the earthquake hit and that the diameters of the openings were about 30ft but that they kept growing in size as the days went by. There are underwater cave systems in that area, a couple miles away from where those cenotes were formed. It's amazing how a quake created these sinkholes, very misterious when we think about it. Guess we will be having new national heritage sites along the two islands.
