The Hol Chan Marine Reserve office invited all students to participate in their Essay Competition as a part of Reef Week. On Wednesday, April 21, 2010 The Hol Chan office called the San Pedro High School to inform them that First Form student Odalie Duran was the winner of the Hol Chan Essay Competition. The San Pedro High School had four competitors who submitted their essays - Odalie Duran, Abby Agoroa, Cynthia Xiu and Monica Ack (all First Form students). Odalie Duran won the 1st place title, $200 Cash, $100 Atlantic Bank Account, and a round trip ticket to Belize City.
