Choppy Seas

Spring generally brings windy days to San Pedro and this weekend the winds were howling like never before: more so that the Dorado Fishing Tournament was postponed until May 22. The winds may come as an inconvenience for some but others do make the most out of it - like windsurfers and kite surfers who enjoy the extreme sports. Here are a few pictures taken over the weekend that show the effects of the strong winds on the island.

Choppy seas and high waves at the reef

Stagnant waters on shoreline properties

The tide move up onto some low-lying beaches

Winds pound on coconut trees and flags

These guys take advantage of the winds to have some fun
