Unusual High Tide!

If you haven't noticed, unusual high tides are currently occurring which is causing some flooding in areas around town. Streets, yards and entire subdivisions go underwater as the tide creeps up. The Meteorological Department of Belize says that the entire coastline of the country is experiencing unusual high tides at the moment. Ambergris Today learned that the Municipal Airport in Belize City was temporarily closed on Monday morning, September 14, as water had flooded the runway.
