Ship Ahoy!

Kudos to Mr. Elito Arceo of Seaduced by Belize who is working on beautifying the island intersection next to Banyan Bay Villas. Elito told Ambergris Today that he adopted the island in efforts to improve its curb appeal. This weekend he placed an eye-catching Pirate Ship and a cannon as the first step towards the beautification plan. Sails will be added to the ship, conch shells will be placed around the island and lights will be added to highlight the ship at night.

The old and rustic cannons will have plaques in place to explain a little bit of the island's history. The ship was hand crafted by Michael Bladden. Much thanks to Mr. Arceo for his creative initiative and we hope that he serves as a great example to other businesses and families to adopt different areas in town to beautify.
