Flood Victims Get Help from San Pedro


- Press Release, NEMO, November 3, 2008 - Over the last few days, residents of the Belize River Valley, who had suffered from the recent flooding, received some much needed assistance from various business and private donors in San Pedro Town. The drive led by Mr. Kevin Gonzalez, district coordinator for San Pedro and Caye Caulker, collected various articles such as rain jackets, stoves, zinc roofing, life vests, baby formula, diapers, baby bottles, and other food items.

Residents of: Maypen, Rancho Dolores, Davis Bank, Crooked Tree, and Lemonal were the Villages who were in the first need of these items.

“I am thankful for the quick response that these businesses gave to the residents of the river valley in particular items that were needed for the children,” said Mr. Kevin Gonzalez, district coordinator.
