Miss Belize Heads to Miss World Pageant

Belize will be represented at the 57th annual Miss World Pageant scheduled to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa from November 16 to December 13. Twenty one year old Charmaine Chinapen has left the country to finalize preparation for the pageant.

Charmaine a young Belizean St. John University Student in New York, acquiring her bachelor’s degree in chemistry, has a dream of one day being a neurosurgeon with the hope of serving in Belize and other developing countries through a voluntary organization “Doctors Without Borders”.

“I am so excited, beyond words; it’s so surreal and such a beautiful experience,” commented Charmaine to Love FM News. “We are competing at the Miss World 2008 Competition and I am going to guarantee you that we are going to do very well. Belize will do well.”

Belizeans are invited to visit the web sites at www.PageantsBelize.com, www.MissWorld.com, www.Missosology.org and soon on www.Globalbeauties.com to follow up on the progress of our participation in the 2008 Miss World Pageant.
