ITVET Hold First Graduation in San Pedro

ITVET Graduates with Town Council Members, Hon. Heredia and ITVET Personnel

    They held presentations of what they learned during the six month course yesterday at the Lions Den and last night they received their certificate of completion of the Electrical Level One provided to them by the Institute of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ITVET).
    The 11 graduates receiving their certificates included: Salvador Tut, Rudy Gomez, Jorge Rodriguez, Hilcias Lovos, Eliazar Alcoser, Alberto Nuñez, Carlos Castillo, William Glenford Castillo, Pedro Chan, Edson Frutos and Adrian Nuñez. Presenting them with their awards were Hon. Manuel Heredia, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Civil Aviation and Area Representative with Mr. Kenroy Ellis, ITVET Manager, Belize City.
   Hon. Heredia expressed how proud he was of the graduates knowing that they now have greater skills to continue their careers as electricians and contributing to a growing community.
    The Electrical Level One Training program consisted of electrical installation, operation, and maintenance for all residential and commercial buildings. Trainees gain a deeper knowledge of safety, tools, and electrical principles, and measurements, junctions of components, equipment and residential wiring. Aspiring residential wiring technicians and persons seeking to take the wireman’s license exam are encouraged to apply.
