Escaped Jaguar Attacks and Kills a Man in Belize.

News from earlier today coming from Patrick Jones of Love FM in Belize City is that a man has been killed by a jaguar that escaped from captivity today. The victim has been identified as Bruce Cullerton. Apparently a tree fell on the cage the animal was being kept in; the animal got loose and attacked Cullerton. The jaguar is NOT from the Belize Zoo, but was apparently being kept as part of a documentary being filmed in Belize. The jaguar is apparently still on the loose in Central Belize. We will have more information as it becomes available to us. Keep posted.

Update! On Wednesday, October 27 a team of highly trained animal experts and the Belize Defense Force were able to capture the jaguar close to its home and was properly euthanized.
