Belize City residents were up all night on Wednesday, March 26, as a massive fire almost destroyed an entire block consisting of major businesses in the heart of downtown.Unofficial reports have that the fire started at the Romac’s department store on Albert Street and quickly spread throughout the entire block, destroying many businesses and putting many people out of jobs.
The blaze started at around 10:30p.m. Wednesday, March 26 and was brought under control around 1:30a.m. Thursday morning. (more at www.ambergristoday.com)
