Alvaro Detained and charged for Murder

San Pedro Police detained Alvaro Gregorio on Thursday, October 9, at about 10:45 am, about two miles North of Ambergris Caye around Captain Morgan’s Area . Gregorio was hiding in a house in the area and police detained him after receiving a tip that he was seen walking around north of the island.

A post mortem was conducted on the body of Roberto Jimenez at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, the cause of death was said to be exsanguination due to internal and external bleeding as a result of the stab wound to the heart. The puncture that was observed on the body was just superficial. Alvaro Gregorio has since been charged for Murder and is to appear in court today, Friday, October 10.

It had been quiet for a while since the island of San Pedro heard of a murder within the community, but on Wednesday, October 8, that was exactly what happened. An early afternoon murder has shaken the residential area of San Mateo as an enraged man inflicted a fatal stab to another.

Unofficial reports have it that around 12:20p.m. Alvaro Rene Gregorio inflicted deadly stab wounds to Roberto Jimene. It was a hate/love crime as Alvaro was ex-common-law-husband of Aura Molina, the woman who Alvaro was fighting for. More details on Ambergris Today Online.
