Rumor of Whale #2 Found in North Ambergris

Calls flooded our office this afternoon with North Ambergris residents claiming that there was a second whale discovered other than the first one found yesterday next to Azul/Rojo Lounge. Ambergris Today discovered that the second sighting is in fact the same whale found yesterday now floating further up north by Kitty's Place. Mito Paz confirmed to Ambergris Today that it was Green Reef that was attempting to drag the animal further up north and properly dispose of it before it contaminated the surrounding area. The whale was left unattended most of today and it was already in a bad state of decomposition. Green Reef is identifying the marine creature as a mature Pilot Whale.

Baby Whale Washes Ashore

A baby whale washed ashore this afternoon just a few feet from Azul Resort in north Ambergris Caye. Rumors about the baby whale spread like wild fire and our reporters rushed to the scene at about 2:15p.m. We are sad to report that when we got to the site we discovered that the whale was already dead. The baby whale, (species unknown) measured about seven feet and we are estimating its weight to be about 500lbs. We were told that people had spotted a whale swimming around the same area this morning, and we assume that the baby got separated and lost from its mother. More information as it becomes available to us.

Thanks to Searious Adventures for providing Ambergris Today with transportation to the site.
