Angel Y Khriz Deliver Great Show at Costa Maya Festival

International Reggaeton artists Angel Y Khriz arrived in San Pedro and created quite a stir at the airport in San Pedro on Saturday, August 7. Their spectacular performance at the Costa Maya Festival kept the crowd dancing and in high spirits for the rest of the evening. More in this week's Ambergris Today Newspaper.

Sunday, Family Night

Family Night at Costa Maya was filled with laughter with the highlight performance of The Bilbao Show - deemed the "Craziest Show in Mexico". There were plenty of celebrity imitations, dancing and singing to make the crowd go wild with laughter. Other performances included Barbara's Dance Group, and KTV Karaoke Latino Finalists Desmond Berry, Oneida Shaw and Natalie Arceo. The evening was hosted by Belizean comedian Gwen Nuñez.

Miss Guatemala Wins Costa Maya Pageant

Miss Guatemala, Gabriela Asturias, was crowned the new Miss Reina de la Costa Maya 2010 at one of the most well-attended pageants in Costa Maya history. In a pageant to remember, Miss Guatemala took the stage along with the seven other contestants, with all of them dazzling the crowd and judges with their grace, elegance, charm and intelligence. It was Miss Guatemala who impressed the judges the most with her fluent answers and stunning presence on stage as she also garnered the title of Best Cultural Costume. Taking second place was Miss Nicaragua and Miss Panama finished third.

Costa Maya Pageant Host Arrives

Sandra Hoyos of Telemundo's Al Rojo Vivo arrived at La Isla Bonita this morning. She was greeted by Chairman of the Costa Maya International Festival, Mr. Gach Guerrero. Sandra will be the host for the pageant night on Thursday, August 5, along with Mr. Eiden Salazar Jr. of the Reef Radio. International Costa Maya Festival.

Lions Club Hosts Noche Sanpedrana

The San Pedro Lions Club hosted the Costa Maya Festival's Noche Sanpedrana on Saturday, July 31, where the eight contestants of the Reina de la Costa Maya Pageant were officially sashed by outgoing Miss Costa Maya 2009 Maritza Rivas, Miss Nicaragua. It was a fabulous social evening were residents got the opportunity to personally meet, greet and welcome the beauty ambassadors to San Pedro, Belize. The night was full of music, dance, fundraisers and a fashion show that showcased clothes from local boutiques. The Reina de la Costa Maya Pageant takes place on August 5 at the International Costa Maya Festival in San Pedro, Belize.
