Miss San Pedro Interns at Ambergris Today

What is Miss San Pedro doing with a stack of Ambergris Today Newspapers? Delivering of course! But Raquel Badillo is not working for Ambergris Today under the capacity of Miss San Pedro, she is interning with the #1 Newspaper in town as she completes her office practice duties as a Fourth Form student at San Pedro High School. We are privileged to have Miss Badillo working with us for three weeks as she learns the ins and outs of the journalism profession.

Miss San Pedro Crowned, Sept. 10 Parade

Our newest Miss San Pedro 2009, Raquel Badillo was crowned at the official crowning ceremonies during the September 10th Celebrations. After the coronation, the uniform parade went through San Pedro Town in which all the school children paraded in their school uniforms.

Raquel Badillo, Miss San Pedro ‘09

Raquel Badillo was elected Miss San Pedro 2009 on Saturday, September 5, 2009, after a magical night of Tropical Temptation where six contestants vied for the prestigious title; the show was pure magic from beginning to end. Taking second place was Yasmira Torres who also won Ambergris Today’s Miss San Pedro Internet, Miss Congeniality was awarded to Virgen Cornejo and Raquel also won Miss Photogenic. Miss San Pedro will be officially crowned during the September 10^th celebrations on Thursday. (More videos and pictures on Thursday’s edition of Ambergris Today Newspaper)
