Arts & Craft with Mothers

On Monday, May 10, the mothers of the students at ABC Pre-school were not given certificates of appreciation but were given a much bigger award, the big smiles and hugs for Mother’s Day. The children sang songs of appreciation and love for all the mommies present after which they gave hand-made flowers to their mother and joined them for arts and crafts where they made a table mat for mom. What a great treat for all the moms on their special day! Happy Mother’s Day to all moms.

It was another spectacular Mother’s Day program that the San Pedro Town Council put together for all those island moms present on Saturday, May 8 at the Old Football Field. Mrs. Leonor Trejo was honored with the Mother of the Year title for 2010 and highlight performance of the evening was the comedic performance of “El Show de Angel Velasquez – El Tauch” all the way from Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. There were lots of surprise performances from local artists and surprise gifts all night long. Here are a few highlights of the Mother’s Day Show.
