Diver "Vanishes" in Portal to Maya Underworld
June 30, 2010—Diving into natural pools in Belize in the quest for offerings from the ancient Maya, explorers found what's believed to be the country's first recorded fossilized remains. More Cenotes found after Last week's Quake
At least three more sinkholes have also been discovered in the neighboring town of Caye Caulker as Mr. Eloy Badillo tells Ambergris Today that residents discovered the sinkholes underwater just west of the split. According to Badillo, the sinkholes were discovered the day after the earthquake hit and that the diameters of the openings were about 30ft but that they kept growing in size as the days went by.
